AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATINIG SID7,WALKS ALONG CERTAIN S"IMTS AND THOROUGH-
FARES IN THE TOWN OF OrHASSO, STATE OF OKLAIJOMA TO BE RhQUIRED FOR THE
PUBLIC HEPjTF AND SAFETY AND DECLARING Ali EMMETNICY.
WHEREAS� the system of sidewalks of the Town of Owasso,, State of Oklahoma is
wholly inadequate to handle the pedestrian traffic of said city in safety; and
Tga?EAS� the students attending the schools of said city are forced to travel
by foot in the streets when traveling to and from school; and
,,HEREAS., the following streets and thoroughfares handle a large amount of
pedestrian traffic to and from school and are without adequate sidewalks,,
to wit.0
330 lineal feet on each side of Main Street beginning approximately 22.5 feet
north of the center line of Third Avenue and ending approximately 22.5 feet
south of the center line of Second Avenue; and
300 Lineal feet on the north side of First Street., beginning approximately

37.5 feet east of the center line of Atlanta Street and ending approximately
37.5 feet west of the center line of Main Street; and
300 lineal feet on the north side of First Street beginning approximatelY 37.-1 C-'

293 lineal feet on the north side of First Street beginning approximately 37-5
feet east of the center line of Birch Street and ending at the Town limits,

IN lineal feet on the north side of Second Street beginning approximately 167.5
feet west of the center line of Main Street and ending approximately 37.5 feet
west of the center line of Yfa:Ln Street., and
300 lineal feet on each side of Second Street beginning approximately 37.5 feet
east of the center line of Main Street and ending approximately 37-5 feet west
of the center line of Birch Street; and
293 Lineal Feet on each side of Second Street beginning approximately 37 ®5 feet
east of the center line of Birch Street and ending at the town limits, approxi-
mately 330-5 feet east of the center lie of Birch Street; and
325 lineal feet on each side of Main Street beginidng 15 feet north of the center
line of First Street and ending 15 feet south of the center line of Second Street;
and
1.203 lineal feet on each side of Main Street beginning 15 feet north of the center
line of Second Street and ending 135 feet north of the center line of Second
Street; and
55 lineal feet on the west side of Main Street beginning approximately 69 feet
south of the center line of 9th Street and ending 14 feet south of the center
line of 9th Street., and
255 lineal feet on the west side of Main Street beginning 14 feet north of the
center line of 9th Street and ending 14 feet south of the center line of 10th
Street; and
255 lineal feet on the west side of Main Street,, beginning 14 feet north of the
center line of 10th Street and ending 14 feet south of the center line of llth
Street; and
420 lineal feet on the south side of 11th street, beginning 25 feet east of the
center line of Atlanta Street and ending 37 feet west of the center line of Main
Street; and
125 lineal feet on each side of 86th Street North, beginning 160 feet west of the
center line of Main Street and ending 25 feet west of the center line of Main
Street� and
920 lineal feet on the north side of 86th Street North, beginning 25 feet east of
the center line of Main street and ending approximately 25 feet west of the center
line of Dogwood Streetj and

NOW,, THEREFOPEVE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF OWASSO., STATE OF OKLARO.Mt
SECTION 1.
THAT -the sidewalks alo6:g portions of the streets and thoroughfares as set out in
the preamble hereto are designated and determined to be required for public
health and safety
SECTION 2.
THAT by reason of said town being without adequate sidewalks along certain streets
and thoroughfares as set out in the preamble hereto, it is deemed and hereby de-
clared necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety that
such sidewalks shall be constructed without delay and to that end, an emergency
is hereby declared to eAst., by reason whereof this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately from and after its passage,, approval and publication.

fund for the payment of the principal thereof when due, said bonds to

SETTION 2.
That such call for said election shall be by proclamation signed 107, the President,,
Board of Trustees and attested by the Town Clerk setting forth the proposition
to be voted upon, the number and location of the polling places, the hours of
opening and closing the polls and the names of the officers who shall conduct
said election; that the ballots shall set forth the proposition to be voted
upon substantially as set out in Section 1 hereof and that the returns of
said election shall be made to and canvassed by the County Election Mard.
