AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A TEMPORARY SUPPLEMENTAL INCREASE OF PRESENT SEWER SERVICE
CHARGE; LIMITING THE TIME SUCH SUPPLEMENTAL INCREASE IN SAID SEWER SERVICE CHARGE SHALL
REMAIN IN AFFECT; ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT OF EACH CHARGE; DECLARING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE
SUPPLEMENTAL TO AND A PART OF EXISTING ORDINANCES; STATING THE DATE SUCH INCREASE SHALL
BECOME AFFECTIVE; PROVIDING FOR AUTOMATIC TERMINATION OF THE APPLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE,
AND DECLARING THAT TERMINATION OF THE TIME LIMIT OF THE EXISTANCE OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
NOT AFFECT THE OPERATION OF ORDINANCES EXISTING AT THE TIME OF PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
Section 1. SUPPLEMENTAL SEWER SERVICE CHARGE.
For the purpose of providing funds for the maintence, repair, extension and
operation of the sewer and sanitary sewer system of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and
for other purposes pertaining thereto, there is hereby imposed and established the following
supplemental Sanitary Sewer Service charges or fees:
The sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per month, in addition to presently existing sewer service
charge, shall be charged against each residence, building, structure, business or place
receiving sewer service; Provided where two or more families, unit, apartments, business
units, buildings, structures or locations are furnished sewer service through the same
sewer connnection or lateral, then a minimum of One Dollar ($1.00) shall be charged for
each such family use, unit, apartment, business unit, building, structure or location
in addition to the base charge provided herein, to be collected as provided by the
ordinance of The Town of Owasso.
Section 2. AFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE.
The supplemental sewer charge provided in Section "1" of this Ordinance shall become
applicable and affective on the 1st day of January, 1971, and shall be billed and collective
as provided by presently existing Ordinances of The Town of Owasso for collection of sewer
service charges.
Section 3. TIME EXISTANCE OF SUPPLEMENTAL SEWER SERVICE CHARGES.
That the application and assessment of the additional sewer service charge provided
for in this ordinance, shall remain in affect for a period of Twenty-four (24) months, and
this ordinance shall automatically become of no further force or affect after the expiration
of twenty-fourt (24) months, the expiratin date being the 1st day of february, 1973.
Section 4. ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTAL TO EXISTING ORDINANCES.
This ordinance is not to be in derogation to or in conflict with, or amendment to any
existing ordinance of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, but is to be supplemental to any other
ordinance pertaining to sewer service charge or amendments thereof, and the expiration of
the force of this ordinance shall not affect for amendments thereof, and the expiration of
presently existing ordinances pertaining to the subject matter of this ordinance.
