AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING DISPLAY OF INSPECTION STICKER REQUIRED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE
STATE OF OKLAHOMA, REQUIRING THAT SAME BE ATTACHED IN A CONSPICOUS PLACE UPON VEHICLES
NAMED IN SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO POSSESS ANY DISPLAY SUCH
INSPECTION STICKERS BY DRIVERS OR OPERATORS OF SUCH VEHICLES; EXCEPTIONS TO APPLICATION
OF ORDINANCE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. OFFICIAL INSPECTION STICKER REQUIRED.
No person shall drive or more on any streetm, highway or roadway of The Town of
Owasso, State of Oklahoma, andy motor vehicle, including motorcycles, trucks, automoniles,
semitrailers, pole trailers or any combin ation tehreof is bearing a valid official
inspection sticiker issued by an official inspection station, designated by the state of
Oklahoma through its proper agency or division, which sticker shall be attached to such
vehicle or combination thereof in a conspicous place.
SECTION 2. EXCEPTIONS TO REQUIREING TO POSSESS AND DISPLAY INSPECTION CERTIFICATE.
The provisions of Section Number One (1) of this ordinance shall not apply to
any house trailer with a valid permit to be moved upon a street or roadway of The Town of
Owasso or the State of Oklahoma.
SECTION 3. PENALTY
Every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this ordinance shall
be punished by a fine not exceeding the sum of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) including costs.
EMERGENCY: WHEREAS, it being immediately necessary for the preservation of the peace,
health, protection and safety of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the inhabitance thereof,
that the provisions of this ordinance be put into immediate force and afect, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist, by reson of the existance of a hazard to health, peace and
safety, and by reason thereof, this ordinance shall take affect and be in full force from
and after its passage, as provided by law.
PASSED by the Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, this 8th day of September,
1971, and the Emergency clause voted upon separately and passed by unanimouse vote of said
Board of Trustees.
