HomeMy WebLinkAbout151_Increasing Water Tap Fees_Amends Ord 77ORDINANCE NO. 151 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9-B OF ORDINANCE NO. 77 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES FOR THE TOWN OF OWASSO, PASSED MAY 16, 1966, TO PROVIDE FOR INCREASED RATES FOR METER SETTING AND CONNECTIONS OR TAPS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Section 1. That Section 9-B of Ordinance No. 77 dated May 16, 1966, Revised Ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, be amended to provide and read as follows: "Section 9-B: Fee For Water Service Connec- tion. Any person, firm or corporation desiring water service from the City of Owasso and having made application for such water service at the Owasso Water Department Office, shall pay to the Water Department Office the meter setting and connection or tap fee hereinafter set forth: three-quarter inch tap connection $125.00; one inch tap connection $200.6;00; connections larger than one inch shall be $200.00 plus the cost of additional material and labor in excess of that required for one inch tap, and plus 15% of the total cost of any such tap for supervision and contingencies." Section 2. Emergency. That because of existing conditions constituting an immediate threat to the safety of persons and property and to the public welfare, and for the preservation of public health, peace and safety and for the furtherance of the public health, peace, safety and welfare, an emergency exists, by reason whereof this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. Emergency clause voted upon separately and passed by the unanimous vote of the Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, this day of JL_, I r , 17 , 1973. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: Section 1. That Section 9-13 of Ordinance No. 77 dated May 16, 1966, Revised Ordinances of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, be amended to provide and read as follows: "Section 9-B: Fee For Water Service Connection.
