ORDINANCE NO. 155
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR LICENSING OF ALL PERSONS,
FIRMS OR CORPORATIONS ENGAGING IN THE BUSINESS OF
PERFORMING ELECTRICAL SERVICES OR ACTING AS
ELECTRICIANS IN THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA;
PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING OF SURETY BONDS; PROVIDING
FOR PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
Section 1. License Required.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall engage in the
business of performing electrical services or acting as electricians
shall, before engaging in such work, obtain a license from the
City Clerk upon the payment of a $25.00 annual license 'Lee. Such
license shall be for the fiscal year or any part thereof.
Section 2. Bond Required.
Any person acting as an electrician and obtaining a license
as provided in the next preceding paragraph shall also post with
the City a surety bond in the amount of $1,000000 payable to the
City of Owasso. Such bond shall guarantee the payment of the
license and permit fees as required by the ordinances of the City
of Owasso, and shall further provide coverage for any damages to
the property of the City of Owasso or others in the performance
of any work as authorized by such license, to the extent of such
bond. The bond shall be written by a surety company authorized
to do business in the State of Oklahoma.
Section 3. Penalty.
All of the permits and licenses as authorized by this
ordinance shall be provided by the City Clerk upon the payment of
the fees herein set forth, and any person who does any work or
perform any services contrary to the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, which shall be punishable by
a fine of not in excess of $20.00, including costs, and each day
of any violation shall be a separate offense®
Section 4® Emergency.
That an emergency exists for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety, this Ordinance shall become
effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication.
Emergency clause voted upon separately and passed by
unanimous vote of the Council of the City of Owasso, 9XIahoma,
this 6th, day of March, 1973.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
Section L LICENSE REQUIRED.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall engage in th(
a license from the City Clerk upon the payment of -a $25.00
annual license fee. Such license shall be for the fiscal year
or any part thereof.
Section 2. BOND REQUIRED.
Any person acting as an electrician and obtaining a license
as provided in the next preceding paragraph shall also post

able to the City of Owasso. Such bond shall guarantee the
payment of the license and permit fees as required by the
ordinances of the Citv of Owasso- and shall further Drovide
orized by such license, to the extent of such bond. The bond
shall, be written by a surety company authorized to do
business in the State of Oklahoma.
