AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE TREASURER OF THE CITY OF OWASSO
TO MAKE A DEDUCTION FROM THE SALARY OR WAGES OF THE MEMBERS
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; DIRECTING THE TREASURER TO TRANSFER
MONTHLY CERTAIN AMOUNTS FROM THE GENERAL FUND AND, PROVIDING
THAT THE DEDUCTIONS AND TRANSFERS BE DEPOSITED IN "THE FIREMEN'S
RELIEF AND PENSION FUND".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. Commencing on January 1, 1975, the Treasurer
of the City of Owasso shall deduct each pay period from the
salary or wages of each paid member of the fire department an
amount equal to four percent (4%) of the salary or wages paid
to the member of the fire department. T11-ie amount so deducted
shall be deposited each month by the Treasurer in "one Firemen's
Relief and Pension Fund".
SECTION 2. The Treasurer of the City of Owasso shall
deposit monthly from the general fund into "The Firemen's Relief
and Pension Fund" commencing on January 1, 19759 an amount
equal to two percent (210) of the total salaries or wages paid
members of the Fire Department, and commencing on January 19 19769
an amount equal to three percent (3%) of the total salaries or
wages paid members of the fire department, and commencing on
January 1, 19779 and thereafter, an amount equal to four percent
(4%) of the total salaries or wages paid members of the fire
department.
SECTION 3® EMERGENCY CLAUSE. That an emergency exists
for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, by
reason whereof, this ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication,
PASSED and the emergency clause ruled upon separately
and approved this .9 day of December, 1974.

equal -to four percent of the total salaries or wages Paid
members of the fire department.
SECTION 3. EIMERGENCY CLAUSE. That an
emergency exists for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety, by reason whereof, this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication.
PASSED and the emergency clause ruled upon
