HomeMy WebLinkAbout180_Bingo Permitted_License Fee_Amends City Code ORDINANCE NO 180 AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING BINGO GAMES WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF OWASSO IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 21, OKLAHOMA STATUTES 9 SECTION 995$1 ET SEQ.; AMENDING SECTION 14-7 OF THE OWASSO CITY CODE (1973 ) TO PERMIT BINGO GAl~S~ AMENDING SECTION 5-13 OF THE OWASSO CITY CODE (1973 TO PROVIDE FOR AN APPROPRIATE LICENSE FEE FOR BINGO GAMES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Be It Ordained by the Council of the City of Owasso Oklahoma: Section 1. The game commonly known as BINGO shall, from and after the effective date of this Ordinance be permitted within the corporate limits of the City of Owasso u PROVIDED, HOWEEER, that such game shall be established and conducted in accordance with the provisions of Title 21, Oklahoma Statutes, Section 995.1, et seq., the substance and form of which is hereby incorporated in this Ordinance by reference, the same as if such laws were ful set forth herein. Section 2. Section 14-7 of the Owasso Code 1973 ) is hereby amended to include the additional sentence at the end thereof; "Excepted from the provisions of this Section is the conduct of a BINGO game which is established and conducted in accordance with the provisions of Title 21, Oklahoma Statutes, Section 995.1, et seq." Section 3. Section 5-13 of the Owasso City Code 1973 is hereby amended to include the following license fee under new sub-paragraph (56) u to-wit: (56 ) Bingo games $10.00 Section 4. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. That an emergency exists for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, reason whereof, this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
