AN ORDINANCE AMEN-DING CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2-28 OF THE OWASSO
CITY CODE (1973) , PROHIBITING A DEALER'S SALE OF NON-INTOXI-
CATING BEVERAGES TO A MINOR; AND, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY®
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA;
Section 1. That Chapter 2, Section 2-28 of the Owasso
City Code (1973) which presently provides:
"Sec® 2 -28® Dealer's Sale to Minors. It shall be
unlawful, and an offense, for any retail dealer, as herein
defined, to knowingly sell, give away, or furnish such non-
intoxicating beverages, as herein defined, to any person under
twenty-one (21) years of age, for consumption upon the premises
of such retail dealers."
be repealed and the following revision of said Section shall
be enacted in lieu thereof:
"Sec. 2 -28® Dealer's Sale to Minors® It shall be unlawful
and an offense, for any retail dealer, as herein defined, to knowingl\
sell, give away, or furnish such non-intoxicating beverages, as
herein defined, to any person under eighteen (18) years of age,
for consumption upon the premises of such retail dealers."
Section 2® It being immediately necessary for the preser-
vation of the public peace, health and safety® and emergency is
hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof, this Ordinance shall
take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and
approval.
