AN ORDINANCE A}lliNDING SECTION l530.2 OF THE O~vASSO ZONING
CODE (ORDINANCE NO. 175, EFFECTIVE AUGUST 29, 197L~) PROVID-
ING FOR NOTICE, REPEALING PORTIONS THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN
E~lliRGENCY

Section 1 That Section l530.2 of the OWASSO ZONING CODE
which presently reads as follows, to-wit

IIl530.2 Notice Required The Planning Commission shall
give fifteen (15) days' notice of a public hearing on a
proposed map amendment by publication in a newspaper of
general circulation. In addition, ten (10) days' notice
of public hearing shall be given by posting the property
sought to be rezoned The notice shall contain
and place of public hearing
Legal description of the property and the street
address or approximate location of the property

property and the proposed zoning district class-
ification, provided:

Notice of a proposed ID1-2 rezoning shall confer
jurisdiction on the Planning Commission and City
Council to consider and act upon ill1-2, PJ1-l, RD,
RS-3, RS-2, and RE, or conbinations thereof in the
disposition of the application, and in like manner
notice of any R District, including m.m, shall
confer jurisdiction to consider any less dense
R District, except ill~I

Notice of a proposed CH rezoning shall confer
jurisdiction on the Planning Commission and City
Council to consider and act upon CH, CG, CS, OM,
and OL or combination thereof in the disposition
of the application, and in like manner, notice of
any C District shall confer jurisdiction to consider
any less intense C District or any 0 District,
and notice of any 0 District shall confer juris-
diction to consider any less intense 0 District

Notice of a proposed IH rezoning shall confer
jurisdiction on the Planning Commission and City
Council to consider and act upon IH, Irl, IL, or
combinations thereof in the disposition of the
application, and in like manner, notice of any I
District shall confer jurisdiction to consider
any less intense I District

Specific notice of a proposed AG or RMH District
shall be required to confer jurisdiction on the
Planning Commission and City Council to consider
such AG or Rl'ill Dis tric t II

"1530.2 Notice Required. Notice of public hearing as herein
required shall include at least one (1) publication notice in
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Owasso
not less than fifteen (15) days but not more than thirty (30)
days prior to such public hearing. If a proposed amendment
is for the purpose of rezoning a lot, parcel or tract of land
public notice as herein required shall also require the mail-
ing of written notice by the City Clerk to all owners of
property within a three hundred foot (300') radius of the
exterior boundary of the subject property. Said notice
shall be mailed not less than twenty (20) days and not more
than thirty-five (35) days prior to the date of the hearing
and shall contain:

of the public peace, health and safety, and this Ordinance
shall become effective immediately upon its passage, approval
