HomeMy WebLinkAbout220_Adopting National Fire Protection Association Code NO ORDINANCE NO. 220 ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE FIRE PPillVENTION CODE OF THE OF OWASSO; ESTABLISHING THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION CODE AS THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE FOR THE CITY OF SO; M~NDING CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 1, OWASSO CITY CODE SECTIONS 8-1 AND 8-2 THEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY lVHEREAS, The City of Owasso, Oklahoma, pursuant to Chapter 8, Article 1, Owasso City Code, Section 8-1 adopted a certain code kno~m as the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the American Insurance Association as its Fire Prevention Code and vITIEREAS, The aforementioned recommended Code is no longer adequate for the protection of the public peace, health and safety of the community; and ~VHEREAS, The National Fire Protection Association Code is adequate for the preservation of public peace, health and safety of the community THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO ORDAINED BY OKLAHOHA: of the Owasso City Code 8-1 Section Section 1 That presently reads: IISec. 8-1. Adoption of Fire Prevention Code. Adoption of Fire Prevention Code.
