AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, SECTION 1-46 OF THE OWASSO
CITY CODE (1973), PROVIDING FOR BONDS FOR OFFICERS OF THE
CITY OF OWASSO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, in the event of the unfaithful performance by
these officers of their duties or a loss of monies and property
coming into their custody or possession by virtue of their
said offices, a financial disaster and/or emergency to the
City of Owasso could be created.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
Section 1. That Chapter 1, Section 1-46, of the Owasso
City Code (1973), which presently provides:
"Sec. 1-46. Bonds.
Various officers of the City of Owasso are hereby
required to enter into a good and sufficient bond to the
city, to be approved by the mayor and council, conditioned
-upon the faithful performance of their duties, and the
accounting and paying to this city all moneys and property
coming into their custody or possession by virtue of their
said offices, as the said mayor and council shall from
time to time determine by resolution. Bonds to the city
shall be in the amounts respectively indicated by their
titles:

be repealed and the following revision of said section be

enacted in lieu thereof:
"Sec. 1-46. Bonds.

Section 2. It being immediately necessary for the preserv-
ation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof, this Ordinance
shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage and approval.
PASSED and APPROVED and the Emergency Clause ruled on
separately this day of
