Aid ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION,
ALTERATION, ENLARGEMENT, EQUIPMENT REPAIR, DEMOLITION,
REMOVAL, CONVERSION, USE OF HAI TE A CE OF ALL
BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES: KNOWN AS THE BUILDING
CODE; PROVIDING FOR ~HE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS,
COLLECTION OF FEES, MAKING O INSPECTIONS; PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; DECLARING AND
ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS; AND REPEALING SECTIONS 4-1
AND 4-2 ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 4, AND AMENDMENTS
THERETO, IF ANY, OF THE EXISTING ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
A BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY CE O ASSO, TULSA COUNTY,
STATE OF OKLAHOMA; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS
FOLLOWS

CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE 1, BUILDING CODE
Section 4-1: ADOPTION OF EUILLING COLE

Building Code, Seventh Edition, 1978" as published by The
Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.?
be and is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of
Owasso in the State of CJclaho a$ for the control of buildings
structures as herein crbvided; and each and all of the
nations, provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of
-,OCA basic Building Code, Seventh Edition, 1978, are hereby
red to, adopted and rude a part hereof, as if fully set
n this Ordinance, with 'the additions, insertions, dele-
, and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 4®4 of this
Ordinance.
Section 4-2: BUILDING PERMIT REQUIRED; FEE.
No -permits shall be valid instil such fees as are
established from time to time by the City of Owasso shall have
been ;laid, nor shall an amendment to a permit be approved until
she additional fees, if any, shall have been .laid.
Section 4-3.- NONLIABILITY OF CITY.
This article shall not be construed as imposing upon the
City of O aso any liability or responsibility for damages to
any person injured by any defect in any new construction,
ra abrs, remodeling or maintenance of any structure or building
mentioned herein., nor shall the City Of Owasso thereof, be held
as assuming any such liability or responsibility by reason of
the inspection authorized hereunder of the certificate of
approval issued by the inspects
Section 4-4: INCONSIST" _ _ (-RLINANCES REPEALED.
That Chapter 4, Article 1, Sections 4-1, 4-2, 4-3 and -
4-4 of tie ordinances of the Owasso City Code 1973, as Amended,
entitled "Building Code" and all other ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4-4 (a): ADnITIONS, INSERTIONS AND CHANGES.
That the following sections are hereby revised as
follows:

affected by this Ordinance
Section 4-4(c): EMERGENCY CLAUSE.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist for the preser®
'7a io.n of the public peace, health and safety, by reason
q hereof this Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and
after its passage, approval and publication.

separately, this day of 1979.
