AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING MINIMUM STANDARDS GOVERNING
MINIMUM PLUMBING S°I...`UARDS IN TERMS OF PERFORMANCE
OBJECTIVES, IMPL EME- - E.U BY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS,
WHICH WILL PROVIDE . EASONABLE SAFEGUARDS FOR
SANITATION TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC HEALTH AGAINST
THE HAZARDS OF ! AUEQUA"IE, DEFECTIVE OR INSANITARY
PLUMBING INSTALLATIONS; AND REPEALING SECTIONS 4-5
AND 4-6 OF ARTICLE 2, CHAPTER 4, AND AMENDMENTS
THERETO, IF NNY, OF THE EXISTING ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
HE SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CODE AND SUSSTI "'UTING FOR
HE SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CLUE HE BOCA BASIC
PLUS' RING CODE, FOURTH EDITION, 197€ ; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY, AS FOLLOWS
IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF
C 30, OKLAHOMA.
CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE 2, PLUMBING CODE
Section 4-5: ADOPTION OF PLUMBING CODE.
That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are
on file in the Office of he City Clerk of the C`ty of Owasso,
CkD~.-_.oma, being marked and designated as "The BOCA Basic
Code, Fourth Edition, 1975", as published by The
P,ui- ng Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.,
be _,<,d is hereby adopted as -he Plumbing Code of the Clay of
Owasso in the State of Oklahoma; for the control of buildings
and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the
regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of -77he
--OCA Basic Plumbi:.ng Code, Fourth Edition, 1978, are hereby
referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully sec
out in this Ordinance, with the adds ions, insertions and
oranges, if any, prescribed in Section 4-6(b) of this
Ordinance.

REPEALED.
That Chapter 4,

Section 4-6(c): SAVING CLAUSE.
That nothing in his Ordinance or in the Plumbing Code
hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or pro-
ceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquitted, or
liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired
or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as
c ted in Section 4-6(b) of this Ordinance; nor shall any just
or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or
affected by this Ordinance.
Section 4-6(d): EMERGENCY CLAUSE.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist for the preser®
vat on of the public deace, health and safety, by reason
whereof this Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and
after its passage, approval and publication.
PASSED AND APPROVED and the emergency clause railed upon

DEFECTIVE OR INSANITARY PLUMBING IN-
STALLATIONS; AND REPEALING SECTIONS 4 -5 AND
4.6 OF ARTICLE 2, CHAPTER 4, AND AMENDMENTS
THERETO, IF ANY, OF THE EXISTING ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING THE SOUTHERN STANDARD
PLUMBING CODE AND SUBSTITUTING FOR THE
SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CODE THE BOCA
