AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO
THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, ADDITIONAL LANDS
AND TERRITORY, PROVIDING THAT FROM AND AFTER
THE PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE
THAT ALL OF THE REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SAID
TERRITORY HEREIN DESCRIBED SHALL BE A PART OF
THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND FURTHER
DECLARING THAT ALL PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN
SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION, CONTROL,
LAWS AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA, DIRtC'I'ING THE FILING OF THIS
ORDINANCE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO
EXIST.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Title 11, Section
21 -101, et seq., of the Oklahoma Municipal Code, the City of
Owasso, Oklahoma, is permitted to annex additional territory
with written consent of the owners of at least a majority of
the acres to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, a majority of the owners of the following
described property adjacent to, or abutting on, proper,
already within the corporate limits of the City of a
Oklahoma, to -wit:
The North Half (N/2) of the Southwest
Quarter (SW/4) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW /4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 4)
Section 8, Township 21 North, Range 14
East of the Indian Base and Meridian,
containing 20 acres, more or less,
having petitioned the City of Owasso to annex said property
to the City of Owasso, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing, after proper notice thereof,
has been held regarding annexation of the hereinbefore
described property within the corporate limits of the City of
Owasso, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Owasso,
Oklahoma, has considered the recommendations made by the
Planning Commission as well as made during such hearing above
referred to, and further, has duly deliberated same, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Owasso has
determined that the annexation of the property hereinabove

described is necessary, reasonable and desirable in the
public interests of the residents and citizens of the City of
Owasso;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
That pursuant to petition of the majority of the owners
of the following described property lying within Tulsa
County, Oklahoma, which territory is adjacent to or abutting
property already within the corporate limits of the City of
Owasso, to -wit:
The North Half (N/2) of the Southwest
Quarter (S'W14) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of
Section 8, Township 21 North, Range 14
Fast of the Indian Base and meridian,
containing 20 acres, more or less,
become and the same is hereby annexed to, made a part of, and
added to the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the corporate
limits thereof be and are hereby extended to include the
above described territory and real estate.
II
That from and after the passage and publication of this
Ordinance, the real estate and territory described in Section
I hereof shall be a part of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, and
all persons residing therein, and all property situated
thereon, shall be and are hereby declared to be subject to
the jurisdiction, control, laws and ordinances of the City of
Owasso, Oklahoma, in all respects and particulars.
III
That there be filed in the office of the County Clerk of
Tulsa County, Oklahoma, a true and correct copy of this
Ordinance.
That for the preservation of the public peace, health and
safety, an emergency is found and declared to exist by reason
whereof this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage and approval.

number 175, Section 110.3, determined that a portion hereinafter
described of the abovedescribed tract should retain the zoning
previously given said tract by Tulsa County, Oklahoma, zoning
authority, and that therefore, the,
West 660 feet and the North 220 feet of the
East 660 feet of the North Half (N/2) of
the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of the Northwest
Quartet (NW/4) of Section 8, Township 21 North,
Range 14 East of the Indian Base and Meridian,
should, contemporaneoUs with annexation, be zoned a CS Commercial
Shopping District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA:
I

That a portion of the abovedescribed tract, said portion
more particularly described as,
West 660 feet and the North 220 feet of the
East 660 feet of the North Half (N/2) of
the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of the North-
west Quarter (NW/4) of Section 8, Township
21 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base
and meridian,
shall be zoned as CS Commercial Shopping District, the remaining
portions of said tract abovedescribed be unaffected hereby.
IV
That there be filed in the office of the County Clerk of
Tulsa County, Oklahoma, a true and correct copy of this Ordinance.

safety, an emergency is found and declared to exist by reason
whereof this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage
