CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, WHICH RELATES TO PHYSICALLY DISABLED PARKING, ELIMINATING REFLECTIVE INSIGNIAS, PROVIDING FOR FOLLOWING STATE LAW, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: Section 1: That the provisions of Part 15- Chapter 7, Section 15- 719(A), which provide as follows, to -wit: A. It is unlawful for any person to place or park a motor vehicle in any parking space on private property accessible to the public and where the public is invited or public property that is designated and posted as a reserved area for parking of motor vehicles of a physically disabled person unless such is eligible for a detachable insignia or reflective insignia as a physically disabled person under the provisions of Sections 15 -112 or 149.3 of Title 47 of the Oklahoms Statutes, and such insignias are displayed as provided in Sections 15 -112 or 149.4 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes or regulations adopted pursuant thereto, be and same is hereby amended to provide: A. It shall be unlawful for any person to place or park a motor vehicle in any parking space on private property accessible to the public and where the public is invited or public property that is designated and posted as a reserved area for parking of motor vehicles of a physically disabled person unless such is eligible for a detachable insignia, or such insignia as may be subsequently authorized by 1eg1slation of the State of Oklahoma, or any regulations duly adopted pursuant thereto as a physically disabled person under the provisions of Section 15 -112 of Title 47, Oklahoma Statutes, or any amendments thereto, and such insignia is displayed as provided in Section 15 -112, of Title 47, Oklahoma Statutes, or any amendments thereto, or regulations adopted pursuant thereto. Section 2: That the provisions hereof shall be effective from and after the 1st day of February, 1986. Boyd M. WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, in public session, has considered the occurence of placement and/or parking of motor vehicles in areas reserv- ed for physically disabled persons by persons not legally so situated; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, in public session, has considered regulation of such placement and/or parking of motor vehicles in areas reserved for physically disabled persons, consistent with the authority granted by virtue of Title 47, O.S. Sections 11 -1007, 11 -1008, as well as the general ordinances and laws of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the State of Oklahoma. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA. Section 1. That Chapter 20, Article 15 of the City Code of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, be and the same is hereby amend- ed by adding thereto Section 20-138 (19), to read as follows: 20.138 (19) A. It shall be unlawful for any person to place or park a motor vehicle in any parking space on private property ac- cessible to the public and where the public is invited or public property that is designated and posted as a reserved area for parking of motor vehicles of a physically disabled person unless such is eligible for a detachable insignia or reflective insignia as a physically disabled person under the provisions of Sections 15.112 or 149.3 of Title 47, Oklahoma Statutes, and such insignias are displayed as provided in the aforesaid sec- tions or any regulations adopted pursuant thereto. B. Violation of the foregoing provisions shall constitute an offense and upon a conviction such person shall be fined not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) and, in addition thereto, such person shall pay any and all reasonable and necessary charges incurred by the landowner or other person in having any motor vehicle removed from the property stored. Section Two (2). That all Ordinances or parts of Or- dinances in conflict herewith be, and the same hereby are, expressly repealed, all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances, not in conflict herewith remain unaffected hereby.
