HomeMy WebLinkAbout323_Amend Chapter 7_Designation of Depositories for Municipal FundsCITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA ORDINANCE NO. 323 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE 2, SECTION 7 -27 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, RELATING TO DESIGNATED DEPOSITORIES OF MUNICIPAL FUNDS, PROVIDING FOR REPEALER OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma. SECTION 1: That Chapter 7, Article 2, Section 7 -27 of the City Code of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, which provides as follows: Sec. 7 -27. Depositories designated; funds to be deposited therein. All banks within this city which are incorporated under federal or state law are hereby designated as depositories for the funds of the city. The city treasurer shall deposit daily all public funds received by him in these banks. Funds may be transferred from one depository to the other as the council may direct by motion or resolution. shall be and is hereby amended to read to provide as follows: Sec. 7 -27. Depositories designated; funds to be deposited therein. All banks, trust companies, as well as savings and loan associations, within this city which are incorporated under federal or state law are hereby designated as depositories for the funds of the city. The city treasurer shall deposit daily all public funds received by him in these banks, trust companies, as well as savings and loan associations. Funds may be transferred from one depository to the other as the council may direct by motion or resolution. SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 3: That for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is found and declared to exist by reason whereof this Ordinance shall take effect 1 from and after its passage and approval.
