AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS
OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AMENDING PROVISIONS OF PART ELEVEN
(11), PARKS, RECREATION AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS, CHAPTER
ONE (1), ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL OF PARKS, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, IN
PARTICULAR, SECTION 11 -116 RELATING TO COMMITTEES,
REPEALER, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA:
Section 1. That Section 11 -116 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, be repealed, and
the following provision be enacted in lieu thereof:
SECTION 11 -116 - COMMITTEE:
The Board may from time to time appoint Citizen
Committees. Any Committee appointed shall contain at least
one (1) member thereof who is a disabled person
knowledgeable in the needs and desires of the disabled of
the community. Such Committees shall be formed to gather
citizen input into Park and Recreation needs. No member of
said Committee can be an employee of the City of Owasso,
Oklahoma, nor a current member of the City Council unless
such person or persons have not been employed by the City
for two (2) years previous to being so appointed. Said
Committee shall make required reports directly to the Board
of Park Commissioners.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall, upon passage,
take effect thirty (30) days from the date of publication
hereof as provided under the Charter of the City of Owasso,
Oklahoma, and the laws of this State.
