BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT: Section One: Part Thirteen - Public Safety, Chapter Five - Unclaimed Property in Custody of Police, Section 13 -503 - Sale of Stolen, Abandoned or Unclaimed Property, providing as follows, to -wit: At such time and place stated in the notice of sale provided by this chapter, the property shall be sold to the highest bidder for cash. The sale shall take place between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. at the time stated in the notice of sale, and shall be held at the city hall of the city. As to property no one buys, such disposition may be made of the same as the chief of police may direct, and, provided that property to be transferred to the city shall not be offered for sale, but ordered transferred to the city. be repealed and in lieu thereof there be provided, At such time and place stated in the notice of sale provided by this chapter, the property shall be sold to the highest bidder for cash. Section Two: By reason of a scheduled sale having been heretofore designated at a facility other than city hall, and the consequent loss of revenue to this municipality in the event said sale must be cancelled by reason of improper location, an emergency is hereby declared to exist whereby the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon passage and publication, become effective.
