HomeMy WebLinkAbout384_Amend Part 5 Ch 5-508_LPG_Parking_Storing or keeping TrucksBOOK 5104 PAGE 1256 708635 CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA ORDINANCE NUMBER 384 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PART FIVE - BUILDING REGULATIONS AND CODES, CHAPTER FIVE - LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS, AMENDING SECTION 5-508 - NOT TO PARK, STORE, OR KEEP THE TRUCKS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, INCREASING THE SIZE OF CONTAINERS AUTHORIZED FOR ABOVE GROUND STORING OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT: Section One: Part Five (5) - Building Regulations and Codes, Chapter Five (5) - Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Section 5 -508 - Not to Park, Store, Or Keep The Trucks Within The City Limits, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, providing as follows, No person, firm or corporation within the city limits shall be allowed to park, store or keep within the limits of their property any tank truck or tank trailer loaded or empty, used for liquefied petroleum gas. It will be permissible to store any new unused tanks in the city limits but it will be unlawful to store above ground any tanks above two hundred fifty (250) pounds liquid petroleum gases capacity in which liquefied petroleum gases have been made. shall be amended to provide, No person, firm or corporation within the city limits shall be allowed to park, store or keep within the limits of their property any tank truck or tank trailer loaded or empty, used for liquefied petroleum gas. It will be permissible to store any new unused tanks in the city limits but it will be unlawful to store above ground any tanks above one thousand (1000) pounds liquid petroleum gases capacity in which liquefied petroleum gases have been made. Section Two: That by reason of the potential loss of revenues to this City, and as a result thereof, detriment to the welfare of said community, an emergency is hereby declared to exist whereby the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon passage and publication, become effective immediately.
