ORDINANCE NO. 392
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PART 17, UTILITIES, SECTION
17 -109, PERTAINING TO WATER RATES, PROVIDING A
RATE SCHEDULE FOR USERS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL
THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA.
Section 1. That Part 17, Utilities, Section 17 -109 of the
Code of Ordinances be amended to read as follows, to wit:
Section 17 -109 Water Rates
A) There hereby are established the following uniform rates
for the volume of water delivered during each calendar
month at each connection to the water system serving one
household or business located within the corporate limits
of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as shown by the water
meter at such connection; provided that, regardless of
the amount of water metered, the monthly charge for each
such connection shall not be less than the "minimum
charge" set forth:
WATER RATES (MONTHLY)
First 1,000 gallons $5.95 (minimum charge)
Each Additional 1,000 gallons $2.32
B) There hereby are are established the following uniform
rates for the volume of water delivered during each
calendar month at each connection to the water system
serving one household or business, located outside the
corporate limits of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as
shown by the water meter at such connection; provided that,
regardless of the amount of water metered, the monthly
charge for each such connection shall not be less than
the "minimum charge" set forth; and provided that these
rates are equal to 1.90 times the rates established for
connection wihtin the corporate limits:
WATER RATES (MONTHLY)
First 1,000, gallons $11.35
Each Addition 1,000 gallons $ 4.32
sECTION 2. That all ordinances in confilct herewith are hereby
repealed, provisions consistant herewith remain unaffected hereby.
Section 3. Emergency. By reason of the loss of revenue from
inadequate rates the Council declares that an emergency exists,
which makes it imperative that this ordinance become effective
immediately in order to provide for the public welfare and safety.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 28th day of June, 1988, with
EMERGENCY CLAUSE PASSED UPON AND APPROVED SEPARATELY.
