CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 369, AS AMENDED By
ORDINANCE 373, RELATING TO PART 13, PUBLIC SAFETY, CHAPTER 2,
FIRE DEPARTMENT, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA,AMENDING SECTION 13- 230 - PERSONS SERVED BY DELETION
THEREIN OF THE PHRASE NON - EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE AS WELL AS
AMENDING SECTION 13- 231 - EXTENT OF SERVICE PROVIDED, SUB SECTION
B, NON - EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE, BY ADDING THERETO A CATEGORY
THREE (3) PROVIDING FOR CHARGING A FEE FOR NON - EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICE, REPEALER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA, THAT:
Section 1. Ordinance Number 369 of the City of Owasso,
Oklahoma, as amended by Ordinance 373, relating to Part 13,
Public Safety, Chapter 2, Fire Department, codified in Section
13 -230, relating to Persons served, as ordained pursuant to
Section 1 of Ordinance Number 369, be and same hereby is amended
by deletion therefrom the phrase "Non- emergency Medical Service,"
said remaining Section of 13-230 - Persons Served to provide as
follows, to wit:
Section 13 -230- Persons Served:
Subject to the limitations set forth below, the emergency
medical service to be provided in the areas above referenced
shall be provided at no charge to the following persons, to wit:
a) Residents of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, residing
within single- family dwellings, as defined under the Zoning Code
of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, whether same be permanent
structures or movable manufactured housing, as well as household
members, both temporary and permanent, thereof;
b) Residents of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, residing
within multi - family dwellings,as defined under the Zoning Code of
the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as well as all household members,
both temporary and permanent, thereof who, under the provisions
set forth below, subscribe to such ambulance service and pay the
designated subscription fee therefore;
c) Persons residing within areas outsi
limits of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, but
included within Section 13 -229 hereof, as well
members, both temporary and permanent, thereof,
said ambulance service and pay the designated
therefore; and,

in Section 13 -229 hereof in need of emergency medical service for
payment of the actual cost of said service.
No person, residing outside the area of service as set forth
in Section 13 -229 shall be allowed to participate in the
subscription service provided for in this section.
Section 2.
Ordinance Number 369 of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as
amended by Ordinance 373, relating to Part 13, Public Safety,
Chapter 2, Fire Department, codified in Section 13- 231 - Extent of
Service Provided, Sub Section B Non - Emergency Medical Service, be
and same is hereby amended to provide for assessment and
collection of a fee based on an approved fee schedule, and that

such section shall read as follows, to wit:
13-231 -B. Non- Emercrencv Medical Service
Upon proper notification, and under the limitations set
forth herein, the ambulance service shall respond to a request
for non - emergency medical transport of a non - emergency medical
patient, as defined herein, residing within the areas set forth
in Section 13 -229, provided,
1) The ability to provide emergency medical service would
not be adversely affected; and,
2) Such non - emergency medical transport shall be to or
from an area within that area set forth in Section 13 -229 hereof,
and, to or from a health care provider within a radius of twenty
five (25) miles of the corporate limits of the City of Owasso,
Oklahoma.
3) A charge for such non - emergency medical transport shall
be assessed and collected in accordance with a fee schedule as
approved by the City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, by
motion or resolution.
Section 3.
That those portions of Ordinance Number 369, as amended by
Ordinance Number 373, of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma,
inconsistent herewith shall be and same hereby are expressly
repealed. The remaining provisions of Ordinance Number 369, as
amended by Ordinance Number 373 of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma,
shall remain unaffected hereby.

Owasso, Oklahoma, as well as all
household members, both tempo-
rary and permanent, thereof who,
under the provisions set forth
below, subscribed to suh ambu-
lance service and pay the designated
subscription fee therefore;
c) Persons residing within areas
outside the corporate limits of the
City of Owasso, Oklahoma, but
within the area included within Sec-
tion 13-299 hereof, as well as all
household members, bother tempo-
rary and permanent, thereof who
subscribe to said ambulance ser-
vice and pay the designated sub-
scription fee therefore; and
d) any other person within the
designated area set forth in Section
13-299 hereof in need of emergency
medical service for payment
of the actual cost of said service.
No person, residing outside the
area of service as set forth in Sec-
tion 13-299 shall be allowed to par-
ticipate in the subscription service
provided for in this section
Section 2.
Ordinance Number 369 of the
City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as
amended by Ordinance 373, relat-
ing to part 13, public safety, chap-
ter 2, Fire Department, codified in
Section 13-231 - Extent of Serice
Provided, Sub Section B non-
Emergency Medical Sergice, be
and same is hereby amended to
provide for assessment and collec-
tion of a fee based on an approve

shall read as follows, to wit:
13-231-B. Non- Emergency
