ORDINANCE NO 421
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, ADDING AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, ADDITIONAL LANDS AND TERRITORY IN SECTION 7,
TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, PROVIDING THAT FROM AND
AFTER THE PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE ALL OF THE
REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SAID TERRITORY HEREIN DESCRIBED SHALL BE
A PART OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, AND FURTHER DECLARING
THAT ALL PERSONS RESIDING THEREIN SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE
JURISDICTION, CONTROL, LAWS, AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, ESTABLISHING THE SAME AS PART OF WARD ONE OF
SAID CITY, AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Title 11, Section
21.101, et seq., of the Statutes of the State of Oklahoma, the City
of Owasso may annex territory adjacent and contiguous to the City
upon presentation of a petition for annexation from persons
constituting not less than three - fourths of the registered voters
and being the owners of not less than three - fourths, in value, in
the real estate to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, persons constituting not less than three - fourths of
the registered voters and being the owners of not less than
three - fourths, in value, in the real estate situated in Tulsa
County, Oklahoma, described as:
Part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NE/4
NW /4), and Part of Lot One (1), Section Seven (7), Township
Twenty -One (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East, Tulsa County,
Oklahoma; described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast
Corner (NE/C) of said Northwest Quarter (NW/4); thence South
0°08' 02" West. 1324/11 feet; thence North 890 34' 46" West,
1332.80 feet; thence North 15°52' 09" East, along the
Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe right-of-way, 1375.07 feet; thence
South 89°30' 08" East, along the North line of Section Seven
(7), 959.88 feet to the point of beginning, less 1.56 acres
for railroad right-of-way and 1.10 acres for road in Section
Seven (7), Township Twenty-One (21) North, Range Fourteen (14)
East, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, containing 32.20 acres; and
The Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (SE/4
NW/4) and all of that portion of the original
Governmental Lot Two (2), lying East of the East boundary
of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad right -of-
way in Section Seven (7), Township Twenty-One (21) North,
Range Fourteen (14) East, Tulsa County, Oklahoma,
containing 45.07 acres,
being territory adjacent and contiguous to the incorporated City,
Owasso, Oklahoma, and not presently embraced within the limit
thereof, have petitioned the City Council of the City of Owa
Oklahoma, to annex the said real estate into the City of,Owasso
and,
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Owasso)
determined that the annexation of the real property
described is necessary, reasonable and desirable in the,
interest of the residents and citizens of the City of Owass
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OWASSO:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the petition of persons
constituting not less than three - fourths of the voters and being
the owners of not less than three - fourths, in value, of the
following described real property lying in Tulsa County, Oklahoma,
and property to -wit:

Part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NE /4
NW/4), and Part of Lot One (1), Section Seven (7), Township
Twenty -One (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East, Tulsa County,
Oklahoma; described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast
Corner (NE/C) of said Northwest Quarter (NW /4); thence South

the same being territory contiguous to the incorporated City of
Owasso, Oklahoma and not presently embraced within the limits
thereof, the above described land is hereby annexed to, made a part
of, and added to the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, and the Corporate
Limits thereof be, and are hereby extended to include the above
described territory and real estate.
SECTION 2. That from and after the passage and publication of
this Ordinance, the real estate and territory described in Section
1 hereof shall be a part of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma,
designated AG (Agricultural) zoning, pursuant to the ordinances of
the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, and in Ward One thereof, and all
persons residing therein, and all property situated thereon, shall
be and are hereby declared to be subject to the jurisdiction,
control, laws and ordinances of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, in
all respects and particulars.
SECTION 3. That there be filed in the Office of the County
Clerk of Tulsa County, Oklahoma, a true and correct copy of this
ordinance.
