HomeMy WebLinkAbout438_Establish Part 15 Ch 1_General Provisions of State Traffic Code_Title 47 Okla Statutes5374 1330 92 003723 ORDINANCE NUMBER 438 CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PART 15-- TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES, CHAPTER 1-- GENERAL PROVISIONS, SEC- TION 15- 104 -- ADOPTION OF STATE TRAFFIC CODE, AMENDING SAID SECTION BY DELETION OF CHAPTER REFERENCE, PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF ALL OF TITLE 47 OF THE OKLAHOMA STATUTES, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT: Section One: Part 15 -- Traffic and Vehicles, Chapter 1 -- General Provisions, Section 15- 104 -- Adoption of State Traffic Code of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, be, and same hereby is, amended to provide as follows, to -wit: There is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this code all of the provisions of the Oklahoma Highway Safety Code, all as found in Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes. All of these provisions are hereby made a part of the traffic ordinances of the city. All of the provi- sions found in such title are hereby vitalized as pro- vided in the laws by this section, specific reference to which is hereby made, as well as all subsequent amend- ments to the laws, and all of the laws as well as amend- ments thereto shall be in full force and effect within the city insofar as the same are not modified by other provisions in this part or amendments thereto. Section Two: This Ordinance shall, upon passage, become effective thirty (30) days from the date of first publication as provided by state law. Dated this 1st day of October, 1991.
