AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ZONING APPLICATION NUMBER
OZ-95-02 CHANGING THE ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION
20, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, TULSA COUNTY,
Q0 OKLAHOMA, FROM AG (AGRICULTURAL) TO CG (COMMERCIAL
GENERAL) AND OM (OFFICE MEDIUM INTENSITY), AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held regarding the request for rezoning of the
property herein described, and,
WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the
Owasso Planning Commission and all statements for and against the requested rezoning of
application OZ- 95 -02.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT
Section 1. The zoning classification of the following described property, to
wit:
All that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (SE/4, NW/4)
of Section 20, Township 21 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base and
Meridian, Vrulsa County, State of Oklahoma, according to the US Government
Survey thereof lying south and east of the present US Highway 169 right-of-
way and lying north of Three Lakes III, an addition of the City of Owasso,
Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, according to the recorded plat thereof,
being more particularly described as follows, to wit: BEGINNING at the
point of intersection of the easterly right of way of said Highway 169 and the
East line of said SE/4 of NW/4 a distance of 1454.19 Feet South of the
Northeast comer of the Northwest quarter (NW/4) of said Section 20, thence S
0°02'21" E and along said East line for 340.00 Feet to a point; thence
Southwesterly a distance of 200.00 feet thence southeasterly a distance of 250
feet to a point on said East line 660 feet south of the point of beginning;
thence Southwesterly a distance of 780 feet to a point on the south line of said
Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (SE/4, NW/4) a distance of 590
feet West of the Southeast comer of NW/4, Section 20; thence Northwesterly
a distance of 250 feet and Southwesterly a distance of 250 feet to a point on
said South line of SE/4 of the NW/4 a distance of 950 feet West of the S/E
corner of NW/4, Section 20; thence Northwesterly a distance of 260 feet to a
point on the Easterly right-of-way line of said US Highway 169; thence
Northeasterly along said Easterly right -of -way line on a curve to the right

SUBJECT: ORDINANCE NO. 498
18.39 ACRE TRACT WEST OF SMITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
DATE: May 9, 1995
BACKGROUND:
At the April 18, 1995 meeting, the Owasso City Council unanimously approved a rezoning
request from Tyann Development for an 18.39 acre tract located east of the Owasso Expressway,
north of Three Lakes III Addition, and west of Smith Elementary School. The rezoning request
called for the rezoning of the property from AG (Agriculture) to CG (Commercial General) and
OM (Office Medium) to allow for commercial and office development with a landscaped buffer
zoned OM.
Attached is a copy of Ordinance No. 498, which would formally adopt the Council's actions
from the April 18, 1995 meeting.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Ordinance No. 498.
