ORDINANCE NO. 565
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ZONING APPLICATION NUMBER
OZ-98-01 CHANGING THE ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN
THE SOUTH HALF (S/2) OF THE SOUTH HALD (S/2) OF THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH,
RANGE 14 EAST, TULSA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, FROM OL (OFFICE
LIGHT) TO CS (COMMERCIAL SHOPPING CENTER), AND REPLEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held regarding the request for rezoning of the
property herein described, and,
WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the
Owasso Planning Commission and all statements for and against the reqeusted rezoing of
application OZ-98-01.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT
Section 1. The zoning classification of the following described property, to
wit:
A TRACT OF LAND THAT IS PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE SOUTH
HALF OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (S/2 S/2 SE/4) OF SECTION 20,
TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE INDIAN BASE AND
MERIDIAN, TULSA COUNTY, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ACCORDING TO THE
US GOVERNMENT SURVEY THEREOF, SAID TRACT OF LAND BEING
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOW, TO-WIT:
COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID SECTION 20,
THENCE SOUTH 89°55'06" WEST ALONG THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF
SECTION 20 FOR 990.00 FEET; THENCE DUE NORTH FOR 33.00 FEET TO
THE POINT OF BEGINNING OF SAID TRACT OF LAND; THENCE SOUTH
89°55'06" WEST AND PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF
SECTION 20 FOR 200.00 FEET; THENCE DUE NORTH FOR 227.00 FEET;
THENCE NORTH 89°55"06" EAST AND PARRALLELL WITH TTHE SOUTHERLY
LINE FO SECTION 20 FOR 200.00 FEET; THENCE DUE SOUTH FOR 227.00
FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING OF SAID TRACT OF LAND; SUBJECT
TO THE MUTUAL ACCESS AND UTILITY EASEMENT OVER THE WEST 25
FEET OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY.
be, and the same is hereby rezoned from OL (Office Light) to Cs (Commercial Shopping
Center) District.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be, and the same, are hereby expressly repealed.

At the January 20, 1998 meeting, the Owasso City Council approved a request to rezone
property located within the South Half (S/2) of the South Half (S/2) of the Southeast Quarter
(SE/4) of Section 20, Township 21 North, Range 14 East. The subject property is located north
of E. 86th Street North, immediately east of the Bank of the Lakes site.
Attached is a copy of Ordinance No. 565 which formally adopts the City Council's action of
January 20, 1998, thus rezoning the subject property from OL (Office Light) to CS (Commercial
Shopping Center).
Staff recommends Council approval of Ordinance No. 565.
