Section Five: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to cause this ordinance to be published. Recent efforts have been made to simplify this process through the creation of the International Mechanical Code. Adoption of this code would put the City of Owasso in line with other communities across the State of Oklahoma and throughout the United States. Attached for your information and review is a copy of Ordinance No. 573, formally adopting the 1996 Edition of the International Mechanical Code. This code is updated every three years, with the next update automatically adopted by the Council upon its issuance in 1999. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends Council approval of Ordinance No. 573.
