WHEREAS, public hearings have been held regarding the request for rezoning of the property herein described, and , WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the Owasso Planning Commission and all statements for and against the requested rezoning of application OZ-98-09. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT Section 1. The zoning classification of the following described property, to wit: A TRACT OF LAND THAT IS PART OF THE SOUTH HALF (S/2) OF THE SOUTH HALF (S/2) OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE/4) OF SECTION TWENTY (20), TOWNSHIP TWENTY-ONE (21) NORTH, RANGE FOURTEEN (14) EASAT OF THE INDIAN BASE AND MERIDIAN, TULSA COUNY, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, ACCORDING TO THE US GOVERNMENT SURVEY THEREOF, SAID TRACT BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT: COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID SECTION 20; THENCE SOUTH 89°55'06" WEST ALONG THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SECTION 20 FOR 990.00 FEET; THENCE DUE NORTH FOR 260.00 FEET TO THE "POINT OF BEGINNING: OF SAID TRACT OF LAND; THENCE SOUTH 89°55'06" WEST AND PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SECTION 20 FOR 200.00 FEET; THENCE DUE NORTH FOR 20.00 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 89°55'06" WEST AND PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTGHERLY LINE OF SECTION 20 FOR 185.00 FEET; THENCE DUE NORTH FOR 72.90 FEET; THENCE NORTH 39°36'38" EAST FOR 180.37 FEET; THENCE NORTH 61°33'25" EAST FOR 272.95 FEET; THENCE NORTH 51°42'35" EAST FOR 38.22 FEET; THENCE DUE SOUTH FOR 352.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING OF SAID TRACT OF LAND, CONTAINING 97,326 SQUARE FEET. be, and the same is hereby rezoning from OL (Office Light) to CS (Commercial Shopping Center). Cates, City Attorney MEMORANDUM TO: THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND COUNCIL CITY OF OWASSO FROM: TIMOTHY ROONEY ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER SUBJECT: ORDINANCE NO. 581 DATE: June 24, 1998 BACKGROUND: At the June 16, 1998 meeting, the Owasso City Council approved a request to rezone property located within the South Half (S/2) of the South Half (S/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section 20, Township 21 North, Range 14 East from OL (Office Light) to CS (Commercial Shopping Center). The subject property is located northeast of the Bank of the Lakes property, 12404 E. 86th Street North. Attached is a copy of Ordinance No. 581 which formally adopts the City Council's action of June 16, 1998. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends Council approval of Ordinance No. 581. ATTACHMENTS: 1.
