AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ZONING APPLICATION NUMBER OZ -99 -09
CHANGING THE ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST QUARTER
OF SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, OF THE INDIAN BASE
AND MERIDIAN, TULSA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, FROM RM -2 (RESIDENTIAL
MULTI- FAMILY) DISTRICT TO CS (SHOPPING CENTER) DISTRICT, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held regarding the request for rezoning of the
property herein described, and,
WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the
Owasso Planning Commission and all statements for and against the requested rezoning of
application OZ- 99 -09.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT
Section 1. The zoning classification of the following described property, to wit:
PART OF THE NE /4 OF SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF
THE INDIAN BASE AND MERIDIAN, TULSA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA,
ACCORDING TO THE U. S. GOVERNMENT SURVEY THEREOF, MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID NE/4; THENCE S
00°03158" W ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID NE/4 50 FEET TO THE POINT OF
BEGINNING, SAID POINT BEING ON THE RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE
MINGO VALLEY EXPRESSWAY (U. S. HIGHWAY 169); THENCE S 84°44'25" E
ALONG SAID RIGHT -OF -WAY 450.36 FEET; S 07°12'41" W 280.80 FEET; S

SUBJECT: ORDINANCE NO. 620
DATE: October 25, 1999
BACKGROUND:
At the October 19, 1999 meeting, the Owasso City Council approved a request to rezone property
located within the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 21 North, Range 14 East. The subject
property is located on the south side of East 96 "' Street North, west of U.S. Highway 169, and
contains 5.7 acres, more or less. The rezoning request changes the zoning on the subject property
from RM -2 (Residential Multi - Family) District to CS (Shopping Center) District.
Attached is a copy of Ordinance No. 620 which formally adopts the City Council's action of October
19, 1999, thus establishing the change in zoning designation from RM -2 to CS.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council approval of Ordinance No. 620.
