WHEREAS, Section2-6 of the Charter of the City of owasso, Oklahoma states that the City Clerk shall be elected by the Council for an indefinite term; provided that the Council, by ordinance, may provide that the City Yreasurer shall be ex-officio City Clerk; and, WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the City Manager and all statements for and against the recommended action. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, TO-WIT: Section 1: That the City Clerk and City Treasurer position to be one and the same. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same hereby are, expressly repealed. Section 3: That this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days from the date of first publication as provided by state law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 17th day of June, 2002.
