AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ZONING APPLICATION NUMBER OZ-11-03 CHANGING
THE ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 17,
TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, TULSA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, FROM AN AG
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO A CG COMMERCIAL GENERAL DISTRICT, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held regarding the request for rezoning of the
property herein described, and
WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the Owasso
Planning Commission and all statements for or against the requested rezoning of application OZ-
'I1-03.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA,
THAT TO WIT:
Section 1. The zoning classification of the following described property, to wit:
A tract BEGINNING 594 feet West of the Southeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter (SW/4 SW/4) of Section Seventeen (17), Township Twenty-one (21) North,
Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma,
according to the United States Government Survey thereof; thence West 399.3 feet; thence
North 300 feet: thence Fast 399.3 feet; thence South 300 feet to the Point of Beginning, Less and
Except the South 60 feet thereof. The property is further described as 11415 East 96 Street North
and is approximately 2.431 acres.

Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same
are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
Section 4. If any part or parts of this ordinance are deemed unconstitutional, invalid
or ineffective, the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and
effect.
Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
from the date of final passage as provided by state law.
Section 6. That there be filed in the office of the County Clerk of Tulsa County,
Oklahoma, a true and correct copy of this Ordinance.

SUBJECT: Ordinance No. 992

BACKGROUND:
At the July 19, 201 1 meeting, the Owasso City Council approved a request to rezone a 2.2 acre
tract located in the southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 21 North, Range 14 East from
Agricultural (AG) to a Commercial General (CG) District. Attached is a copy of Ordinance No.
982, which formally adopts the City Council's action of July 19, 201 1. The Council took action on
this rezoning request following the Planning Commission's approval on July 1 1, 201 1.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends City Council approval of Ordinance No. 992.
